Terms and Conditions

These terms apply when you order lunches or lunch plans from MAK Bowls. MAK Bowls is a food business operating from Hinjewadi, Pune, Maharashtra, India, providing pure-vegetarian weekday lunches.

They also cover purchases, subscriptions, payments and customer accounts made through the MAK Bowls customer app at app.makbowls.com and future MAK Bowls mobile apps, once those services are available. Until then, orders, payments and plan changes are handled on WhatsApp, and this website has no customer accounts or online checkout.

We deliver lunches to selected supported workplace locations in Hinjewadi, Baner, Balewadi and Wakad, Pune. We do not serve every location in these areas, so please confirm on WhatsApp that we can deliver to your workplace before you buy.

MAK Bowls normally delivers Monday to Friday at supported workplaces, excluding announced non-service days.

Lunches come in four sizes, each a pure-vegetarian meal of the day's main dish with salad and achar: MAK Mini (approx. 208g sabzi with approx. 110g cooked rice or 2 rotis, depending on the day's dish); MAK Classic (approx. 250g sabzi, approx. 132g cooked rice and 2 rotis); MAK Plus (approx. 390g sabzi, approx. 200g cooked rice and 3 rotis); MAK Max (approx. 440g sabzi, approx. 240g cooked rice and 4 rotis). Portion weights are approximate.

Each lunch in a rice-based lunch plan held by a current subscriber is a pure-vegetarian rice bowl: approximately 230g rice and 250g main dish (approximately 480g in total), served with salad and achar, with something sweet on Friday.

Our current weekday menu is shown on the Weekly Menu page and may be updated.

If you have a food allergy or a dietary requirement, please tell us on WhatsApp before you order.

Single lunches: MAK Mini ₹109, MAK Classic ₹149, MAK Plus ₹169 and MAK Max ₹199. Lunch plans are priced per meal by size, for 5, 10 or 20 meals: MAK Mini ₹105, ₹99 or ₹94; MAK Classic ₹145, ₹139 or ₹134; MAK Plus ₹165, ₹159 or ₹154; MAK Max ₹195, ₹189 or ₹184. The 5, 10 and 20-meal plans are valid for 15, 30 and 45 calendar days respectively.

First-time customers may order one paid trial meal, once per customer, in any size at its regular price: MAK Mini ₹109, MAK Classic ₹149, MAK Plus ₹169 and MAK Max ₹199. MAK Bowls confirms eligibility on WhatsApp from its own customer and order records. Trial meal refunds are explained in "Cancellations and refunds" below.

Rice-based lunch plans, for current subscribers: 5 meals for ₹675, valid for 15 calendar days; 10 meals for ₹1,290, valid for 30 calendar days; 20 meals for ₹2,480, valid for 45 calendar days.

No extra charge on paneer days. Paneer meals are included in subscription meal credits at no extra charge. Prices are those shown on our website when you buy.

A plan starts on the activation date we agree with you, which may be different from the date you pay.

Validity is counted in calendar days from the activation date. Meal credits can be used only within the plan's validity.

While your plan is active and has meal credits, we schedule your lunch automatically on every service day. You do not need to confirm each day.

To skip a lunch, tell us before 9:30 PM IST on the previous day. A timely skip keeps your meal credit but does not extend your plan's validity. Changes after the cutoff may be counted as a meal.

Next-day orders close at 9:30 PM IST. Lunches stop when your meal credits are used up or your plan's validity ends.

We currently accept UPI, cash and bank transfer. We normally schedule lunches only after your payment is confirmed.

When online payment becomes available in the customer app at app.makbowls.com, payments will be processed by a payment gateway provider. MAK Bowls will not see or store your full card details or banking passwords.

Plans are non-refundable once activated. Unused meal credits are not eligible for cash refunds. Our Refund and Cancellation Policy explains cancellations before activation, single-meal cancellations, payment problems and what to do if something goes wrong with a lunch.

Trial meal refund: if you don't like your first MAK, tell us on WhatsApp at +91 92183 00701 and we will refund the full amount you paid for that trial meal. This applies to the one trial meal each first-time customer may order. The refund is made under "Refund processing time" in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

MAK Bowls prepares and delivers lunches directly to supported workplace locations.

We do not ship retail parcels through courier or postal services. Our Delivery Policy explains where and how our prepared meals are delivered.

When customer accounts become available in the customer app at app.makbowls.com, you will sign in with your mobile number and a one-time password (OTP) sent by SMS. Keep your phone and OTP private, and tell us on WhatsApp if you think someone else has used your account.

Please give us your correct name, phone number, workplace and delivery point, and tell us about skips or changes before the cutoff.

Occasionally we may be unable to prepare or deliver lunches as planned, for example because of severe weather, local restrictions or supply problems. When this happens, we will let affected customers know on WhatsApp as soon as we reasonably can.

When MAK Bowls declares a closure on an otherwise eligible weekday during an active subscription, we will compensate affected customers with an additional usable delivery opportunity. Our Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how this and missed meals are handled.

We may update these terms. The current version and its effective date are always on this page.
